Pizzone - VENEZIA

We visited this hidden gem twice during our stay. Pretty basic stuff but simply delicious and very affordable. Clean, nice and tidy place. Our hotel was located nearby so we took take away.

The pizza is really great and inexpensive. We bought it by the slice, but it's also available as a family size pizza or regular size. We had bought a large bottle of iced tea at the COOP nearby and had a nice lunch on the balcony of our room overlooking a canal for less than $5. The owner is always there, very pleasant and friendly. One of the few economical places to eat good food in Venice!

We have to say this is the best pizza base we have ever eaten, now we aren’t experts, but this was a really good tasting pizza, if you get the chance, look this guy up and give him your business. Our Italian is non existent and this did not matter, his menu is also in English, thank god!! We had the Margarita famiglia size €9 , he was busy and our wait was about 20-30 mins but boy it was worth it.

Chose this place because it was close. We were not disappointed. Pizza made fresh on the spot. Great flavour and eaten in no time. Much better than the pre-prepard pizza seen in many shops in Venice.

I live nearby; recently had a kid; for months i have been doing numerous stroller laps around the area; the owner always had a great slice to hand me on the go to keep the baby moving : Thank you!
