Exceptional cuisine. Vegan food is world class from the Rose Garden set menu. Beautifully presented. Tantalising tastes. Each course bringing its own delights. I paired it with wine which was also a delight. Staff were remarkably attentive and friendly without being overbearing. Highly recommend. View all feedback.
What Ninfa Parisi doesn't like about Fiola At Dopolavoro:
I feel compelled to review as there aren’t many recent 2022 reviews of this restaurant. The setting of this place is beautiful, but the food is underwhelming and the experience is overpriced for the quality. We are not immune to splurging on a good meal, but this felt criminally overpriced for what we received. The food was overly salty and the 60 euro ! lobster ravioli amounted to 2 potstickers not even pasta . Also... View all feedback.
My wife and I stayed at the JW Marriott Resort Spa on Isola della Rose in Venice. One of the great things about this resort is that its fine dining restaurant is Aglo Amici Dopolavoro, a Michelin Star restaurant. I cannot say enough about this experience. My wife and I had just renewed our vows in the garden facing San Marco as a backdrop and then the concierge took us over in a golf cart to start dinner. They greeted us outside by name then took us inside where everyone knew our names and introduced us to the pastry chefs as we walked in. The service is amongst the best we have experienced and we have been to many a great restaurant in the US and abroad. The food was absolutely divine. I did the seafood chefs course and my wife did the ala carte menu and everything including the wine list was outstanding. It doesn't matter if you stay at the resort or take the free hotel water shuttle over to the island, we highly recommend having a dinner here while you are in Venice.
That was the greatest experience of our life. We celebrated our anniversary. Waiters and chef made us feel so special and prepared so many surprises for us. Food was incredible. We will never forget this evening…
Unfortunately the experience we had was a bad one. I’d like to think we’re pretty laid back and have done a few dining experiences so we had high expectations. Our reservation was at 8pm and by 9pm we’d not seen the menu, yes we’d got a drink that was nice and we’d seen the garden where the food was grown but we’d gone to eat and we were both quite hungry. When the food started to come it was fussy, lots going on but it wasn’t to our taste, by 11pm there were still 3 course to come, one of which was pasta, that for us is too late and we were starting to feel unwell. Our dissatisfaction was accepted and we left. Maybe we just had a bad experience
We came to the re-opening dinner and had a great night! It seemed a little disorganized but the restaurant manager made a great job.Breakfasts there are unforgettable as well: great variation, very good service.Highly recommended!

Also the wine pours were tiny; if you’re paying for wine by the glass, expect a pour that’s about 1/3 the size of a standard glass of wine.
