We were actually going to have dinner at another establishment down the street, but it was closed. So we gave this quaint restaurant a shot. It's been at this location over 200 years. We had the fish soup, which was excellent. Never had a better fish soup. We also had the seafood risotto, which turned out be fabulous.
Four of us went to this restaurant just before 11:00 on a Monday, and ordered squid ink pasta, vongole, and porcini risotto. The man who seemed to be the owner was very kind and polite, and the food was delicious. The squid ink pasta had a rich, tomato-based broth, which was a little different from other restaurants. The risotto initially had a delicious mushroom aroma, but halfway through, it seemed to take on the aroma of edamame. The rice was large and firm, and still tasty. Since the food was so good, we also ordered fish fritters and sardines. The fritters included soft-shell shrimp, small fish, and squid, and the sardines were refreshing and delicious.
Food was delicious! Service was great as well and very friendly! Will for sure stop by next time I come to Venice
