Church's Kitchen - Vauxhall

Put it this way: they were short-staffed the night I was there, so I probably spent almost an hour waiting to make an order and then waiting for it to be ready. The fried chicken was great enough that I'd do that all over again to get more. Pork ribs and sides were good, but that chicken might be the best I've had.

YUM! They definitely live until the hype. The cattle ribs are great! The portions are huge and worth the price. What placed me above the top was the excellent customer service I received... although it was less than an hour before closing. I'm back!

Best Rib Chicken Joint in NJ. I moved to West Orange 5 years ago and drove from Church's Kitchen on my way to Home Depot in Vaux Hall. Stopped in 1 day and ordered best roasted chicken EVER along with so delicious Cole Slav Potato Salad, was fabo. We order dinner from here to Sat at least 1 per month. Beef pork ribs dinner are plenty delicious. But the fried chicken always brings us to Judy Leroy's place.

A great fried chicken place with some other stuff, but who would not get the fried chicken? The original owners have sold the place to retire, it seems, but just ordered from them recently and it was still great. NOTE: They make it to order(! , so call ahead if you are on a schedule.

This place is great. Best BBQ I've had since I've moved to North jersey 2 years ago. Best potato salad I've ever had (my mom would kill me if she heard that). Go with the ribs, potato salad, and Mac cheese. Promise you won't be disappointed.
