Stunning location, secluded and quiet within a courtyard. The menu features a limited selection, but uses quality ingredients and unique pairings that make them truly interesting. Excellent value. The service is very fast and never intrusive. Highly recommended.
I went with two friends to the Alla Posteria restaurant in Varese with average expectations, and unfortunately, they remained so. The restaurant is average, with no particular distinguishing features. The staff is friendly and helpful, nothing to complain about in that regard. The food, however, is average: decent, but nothing memorable, especially considering the final bill of €190 (two platters and three main courses). The truly disappointing part came at the end of the meal. Jokingly, I asked, Excuse me, isn 't there anything on the house? I was told, rather coldly, that the management doesn 't offer anything because it 's a rule of the restaurant. Beyond the offer itself—which is certainly not mandatory—what leaves a bitter taste in the mouth is the rigidity and total lack of even a small gesture of courtesy after a large expense. Sometimes, it takes very little to make a customer feel appreciated. It 's a shame, because the overall experience wasn 't negative, but this closure left a feeling of sadness. We didn 't leave a tip...it was our rule. Personally, I don 't think I 'll be back.
A very positive experience. I had an appetizer, a first course, and a dessert. Everything was very good. The service was very friendly, although if you order a glass of wine, I'd recommend pouring it directly at the table to show the bottle instead of bringing a full glass. The atmosphere is very pleasant, and the final price was fair for the location and quality.
Delicious dinner, perfect atmosphere. Everything was delicious! Highly recommended.
A very pleasant Sunday lunch, both for the location and the quality of the food. We ordered a selection of appetizers, a first course, a second course, two desserts, a glass of red wine, water, and coffee, and were very satisfied. The only drawback was perhaps the cover charge, which at €3 was a bit above average. The desserts were good, but not as good as the other dishes, which were very good. Overall, a highly recommended experience!
