Very friendly service and good food. imiserschmarrn, speckknödelsuppe and spaghetti are highly recommended!
Monday is a day off, and unfortunately, you can't order the best Kaiserschmarrn for miles around or the insider tip, Carbonara. We also enjoy one of the pasta dishes, like the Makaroni Chef, as well as the salad. Small portions are available. The interior is rustic. The service and the chef are like good old friends. The food is reasonably priced. Drinks are average. There's plenty of parking and a good selection of play areas for children. It's only a few minutes' drive from Maranza or you can take the road there, but there's also a beautiful trail through the forest up to the Kiener Alm. From the Gitschberg middle station, the alpine pasture is a 30-minute walk away, or from the Nesselbahn station or the lovely playground at the top, it's a steep 30-40-minute descent along the ski slope – but there are also easier options here. The guest rooms are expected to be available again soon; you can inquire on site or by phone.
