What User likes about Yamato Sushi:
This little hole in the wall sushi place can do take-out or eat-in (there's room for about 15-20 people). It appears to be a family run operation, where the fish is very fresh and clean. The servings are large with a great selection and not very expensive. Two rolls and an order of assorted sashimi was $27, ideal for 2. The first time visiting it was not busy and while waiting for my order was offered a cup of tea. View all feedback. What Sami Sh doesn't like about Yamato Sushi:
Ordered takeout through uber eats. Took ages for them to prepare my order (30 minutes more than their estimated time). food wasn't fresh and didn't taste good (tasted like a fridge and wasn't edible). Uber eats reviews (4.8) are fake, I had a bad experience and it didn't allow me to rate the restaurant. View all feedback.

Tasty lunch in a convenient and clean hole in the wall on Davie St. Very good spring rolls, prawn tempura, Dragon roll and Philadelphia roll. Very fresh.
We ordered different special Sushi rolls for take away. Sushi tasted very nice and fresh. You can also eat inside although the shop is rather small.
Go to this small place for quick and delicious sushi! We stop here whenever we are in Vancouver! Rolls are generous, and they are fast!!

read moreThis cozy hole-in-the-wall sushi spot in downtown Vancouver delivers budget-friendly sushi with decent taste despite occasional issues with service timing and soy sauce seasoning. The family-run establishment offers large servings of fresh sushi at reasonable prices, making it a popular choice for both takeout and dine-in options. Although there are occasional delays in service, the quality and generous portions make up for any shortcomings. With a diverse menu and friendly staff, this hidden gem remains a top choice for sushi lovers seeking affordable and satisfying Japanese cuisine. Always busy, always fresh, and always worth a visit.

Wonderful food with great portions. Quick service as well ?
The service at this restaurant is terrible. I ordered 2 salmon sushi rolls and only received one. I do not recommend going to this store.
