Groovy, spacious place! Service is good. Ordered vodka tonic and John got his beer Yaletown Ale . As for food, we had the pretzel soft, warm and fresh. Unfortunately, we never experienced the beer stout cheese as it was only served with mustard. Fish tacos were good fish itself wasn 't seasoned much but the pico de gallo was quite tasty and had a nice kick! View all feedback.
What Neha R doesn't like about Whistler Brewhouse:
For a brewery that has a prime location in Yaletown, I didn't expect it to be so bad. This is the first time I had a cocktail that had blended banana in it. It was a word flavor. My friend, who loves beer, was surprised to see that they only had 8 total beers available. I ordered the Parmesan garlic fries that had uncooked garlic. I had a few and took them home and it took me 4 times to finish because the raw garlic... View all feedback.
What a cool and spacious spot! The service was great. I ordered a vodka tonic, and John went with his Yaletown Ale. For food, we tried the soft pretzel, which was warm and fresh. Unfortunately, we missed out on the beer stout cheese since it was only served with mustard. The fish tacos were good; the fish itself could have used a bit more seasoning, but the pico de gallo was flavorful and had a nice kick!
The restaurant offers only one dessert—Sticky Toffee Pudding, which I'll elaborate on later. The drink selection caters to a variety of tastes, from beers and mixed drinks to plain water. I ordered a Caesar, which was very tasty, and I tried both the mild and spicy options. Next, I sampled their wings and the Buffalo Cauliflower. The wings were quite spicy; I had to let them cool for a moment before enjoying them. The cauliflower was fantastic, tossed in a spicy sauce and served with a dipping sauce on the side. My only tip is to request an extra cup of the dipping sauce, especially if you're sharing this dish. The wings were meaty, with a nice balance of drumsticks and flats. The sauce, which resembles Frank's Hot Sauce, was enjoyable. Overall, I liked them all, but the true highlight was the Sticky Toffee Pudding. The only downside was that I couldn't get enough of the freshly made toffee sauce, but it made for a wonderful shareable dessert to end the meal. My friends tried a variety of dishes, including the meatloaf, and there were no complaints. Everyone knew what they were in for and seemed pleased with their cravings being satisfied. As for the atmosphere, the restaurant was bustling, but we were seated promptly at a table for our group of eight within minutes. Our server dropped by frequently to refresh our drinks, making for a truly enjoyable evening out.
The food and beer here are excellent. I appreciated being able to order a half portion of fries along with a half salad, which was a nice option. As a 30-year-old, I really enjoyed the music on the playlist. I suppose I’m at that age where my musical preferences get catered to, and I apologize to those who are either younger or older than me!
We just wanted a beer! Walked in on the sports bar side, it was pretty crowded and loud, there was a game of some sorts going on. So we went to the other side, where it was calmer. The bartender was friendly, and checked on us often and our beer was good. One and done!
Went their for their happy hour menu after the pride parade on Pacific street, they were pretty crowded but the service was still fast! Definitely appreciate that : They have two sections in the restaurant the bar (has a pool table and the restaurant with a patio. We sat in the patio because it was a beautiful day and I definitely liked the vibes! The music was good and not too loud. I got their gochujang cauliflower and garlic parmesan fries. The cauliflower was a bit disappointing, could not taste the gochujang flavour and it wasn't crispy. The fries were good, especially their garlic dipping sauce. We asked for extra dipping sauce for the fries and they didn't charge extra for that.. love it!
