M was craving some Taiwanese noodle soup so I went to my trusty Van adviser and was told to check out Wang’s Beef Noodle House. It’s located right beside a VPL branch. Hours are long and consistent. We dropped in on a late Wednesday evening (around 9:00pm) and the place was about a third full. No frills but it’s clean and with lots of seating. Service is fast and efficient; I liked how they came back several times to... View all feedback.
Like the noodle here and the service is so good here! very recommend you to come here and try the food!
This place have been around forever! one of very few original taiwanese noodles place left in vancouver! _first thing first, it is cash only.
I came here during the afternoon as i drove by this noodle restaurant several times and decided to give it a try.
Wang's Taiwan Beef Noodle House is located on Granville Street and West 68th Avenue in the Marpole area of Vancouver. This authentic Taiwanese beef noodle house offers a variety of noodle dishes, including the delicious Dan Dan Noodle. I personally recommend trying the thick noodles, as they are nice and bouncy. The food is a must-try, and for two people, the price ranges from $20-$30. The service is good, and I would definitely return. Some menu items to explore include the Dan Dan Noodle, Beef Noodle Soup, Wonton in Rice Noodle, and Deep Fried Tofu.
The dan dan noodles are very good here. The sauce is rich and creamy, with the consistency being just right. It's liquid enough for you to mix with the noodles, and viscous enough to stick on the noodles. The noodles too, so good. Nice and thick, bouncy. <br/ <br/ The cold cucumbers are well seasoned and tasted pretty darn good too. It has the noticeable flavours of chilli and and sesame. Less noticeably garlic and vinegar. My friends who came all said that these are their now fave cucumbers. However, I prefer the cold cucumbers at Lao Shan Dong because they are much crispier, my preferred texture. I wouldn't describe the cucumbers here as crispy.<br/ <br/ My friends all had the n.1 beef noodle, and the one friend who loved eating at the Cambie location (now closed) mentioned that the soup here wasn't as great. That's up to debate.<br/ <br/ Came here for a late dinner around 9:30pm. Found out that they close at 11:30pm on Tuesday nights, which is pretty late for that area. Perfect for an after-movie bite.<br/ <br/ Service was also attentive, as our tea was always refilled. There were about three or four other tables dining in when we were there. The place seems to be a popular takeout option too.<br/ <br/ I would come here again, if just for their dan dan noodle. Though, still gotta compare that beef noodle! <br/
