Just down the street from my hotel (Westin Bayshore) across from Cardero's Restaurant and facing the Bay sits a real gem of a bakery/coffee shop. The Taiwanese owner must have come by way of Austria for the rich flavor and tenderness of his bakery items....More View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Villagio Cafe:
I visited the Villagio Cafe for a spot of breakfast on a lovely sunny morning. Tables outside were dirty, but it was a great spot so we took up a pew anyway. We ordered a Cinabon (average), fruit salad (tasty but pricey) and some yoghurt and granola (ratios terrible). The server was friendly but lacked initiative - personal highlight was when we told there were no forks. What she meant was, there were no clean forks... View all feedback.

So, this is my second review of Villagio Cafe, the first being in 2014. We brought our teen children here for lunch after an extremely long walk in Stanley Park. The cafe did not disappoint. It produced homey grilled cheese, ham and cheese the prized granola bars that I wrote about last time. The cafe is a great casual and reasonably priced lunch spot. Service is basic, and casual.
I brought our family of six here for a Saturday morning breakfast. Everyone was happy with their meals and I thought the value was great for the big breakfast. I ordered a jumbo latte as well and it was absolutely superb!! The children had freshly squeezed orange juice and my wife ordered the salmon bagel. All very good and highly recommend.
Great morning stop to take in the harbor in a causal, relaxed setting. Clearly a place where the locals frequent....including their dogs. Nice neighborhood atmosphere.

Luckily there was an abundance of spoons. Great way to eat a Cinabon. The cafe in general was untidy with minimal table clearing in progress. The water table was also covered in empty cups and plates. Gross. Overall, could do much better with the fantastic location.
