Busy, small restaurant. We’d booked for 8.15 but had to wait outside for ten minutes until our table became free. Atmosphere and decor inside was lovely but it’s a small menu and many dishes were no longer available. Food was generally good but crispy kale was burnt. Fiore is an Italian inspired restaurant located in the heart of South Granville. They curate a seasonal menu and wine list, and use fresh local ingredients in their dishes. I dropped by last week for a quiet catch up dinner with a friend. If you like to start with your Italian dinner with some antipasto and an aperitif cocktail, you will be happy to see the Negroni Lounge menu at Fiore. With 10 adaptations of the famous drink of Italy, you will find the right one before a lovely meal. My first impression of Fiore was from last year’s Tasting Plates South Granville, a restaurant crawl event that helps locals discover good eats in the neighbourhood. “Neighbourhood gem” is probably best for describing the restaurant – cozy, friend but elegant, and perfect for a neighbourhood that is known for shopping, galleries, and casual fine dining.
I love days when my only problem is pizza or pasta. However, when my friend and fellow foodie Kristina went to Fiore this past week, we didn’t need to choose between the two; we went with both. Fiore is a new addition to the dining scene in South Granville and they are operated by the same people who run The Stable House Bistro.
Atmosphere is lovely. Service is good. Had the pasta bolognese and found it salty.Came here another time and ordered two drinks and a dessert and ended up paying $70. I would try this place again though.
Wonderful little spot, perfect for an intimate dinner! You can't go wrong with pasta and cheeses made in house. Definitely recommend letting the chefs decide for you, they know what they're doing and everything is delicious! Sitting at the bar was a great experience! We'll absolutely be back to try more amazing creations!
