Went for breakfast at the Locus Cafe. My husband had the pancakes which were excellent and I had the eggs with spicy sausage which were just okay. But the prices are outrageous. Breakfast for 1 will cost around $30 which I found extreme for what you got. View all feedback.

I was in the Main Street area and wanted to try a different place offering veggie burgers. After searching around, I found the Locus Cafe which had one for $15.00. My first impression when the dish arrived was not very good. The bun crust on the outer layer was broken into varies pieces and peeling off. I am not sure if that indicates a lack of freshness but it was not appealing. Generally, the dish was very greasy with a lot of oil. The stir fried veggies were cloaked with an abundance of oil. The veggie patty was very dark in color but I was not sure if it had been overcooked or it was the nature of the pepper added. The roasted potatoes were excellent although there was an oil layer but only in a small amount. I think the dish would have been better if all the ingredients were roasted with just a touch of cooking oil. Certainly the portions were large. The service was friendly but was not my idea of healthy eating.

As well, they're great about taking reservations, including for large groups...not that common on Main Street, so a pleasant surprise.I've been going here for the 11 years I've lived in the neighbourhood, and always enjoy it, whether for brunch, lunch, or dinner!
