The Kitchen Dada - Vancouver
The Kitchen Dada
Description
Nestled in Vancouver's west side, this Japanese restaurant combines traditional favorites with unique culinary delights. Diners laud the freshness of the fish and the artistic presentation of dishes, notably praising the exceptional Volcano and Mango rolls. The service is consistently attentive, making patrons feel valued. However, some experiences highlight communication issues, with one unfortunate incident regarding restroom access for delivery drivers reflecting poorly on the establishment. While a few guests noted temperature discomfort, the overall sentiment remains positive, with many eager to return for the delicious food and generous portion sizes. An excellent choice for sushi lovers.

Feedback
I haven't eaten at this restaurant in a while and I'm happy to say that everything was just as amazing as before!
The service and atmosphere at the restaurant were both excellent as usual. However, there were some issues with the preparation of the Maki rolls this time. The OMG rolls had seaweed that was almost like a paste, which was very unpleasant. Additionally, the Mango Kelly Rolls did not hold together well. I believe these were just oversights and not the norm for this establishment. On the bright side, the Strip and Yam tempura were delicious.
I am disappointed that the booking information was incorrect. It stated that there would be a 20% service charge on groups of over 6 people, but even with just 6 people (including 2 kids), they still charged the 20%. If I had known this beforehand, I would not have chosen to dine there.
We had our Christmas dinner and the food was delicious and unique. OMG roll. We liked it a lot. Thank you!
