This restaurant was across from our hotel. From the outside it looked nothing special but the food was very high quality. The portions are a little on the small side and we should have ordered extra rice but the red prawn curry was just delicious. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Thai House Restaurant:
Nice enough meal and the service was good. Have to say that the menu isn't as extensive as what we have in the restaurants in the UK but was OK. Again, the food was nice but not in the same league as our very local, market town Thai restaurant in the UK. The Thai Legend in Pershore Worcestershire UK is the best! View all feedback.
Eating was okay. Hubby agrees with the other reviews of Padthai super sweet and tastes like ketchup. The pinapple fried rice was good. The place has no ac and was unbearably hot. When it came time to pay the bill was $37 we had a $50 gift card in which the server took it when we left a huge tip. She went to clean another section, and hubby wasn't worried to follow it. But not what we wanted to pay. Wouldn't come back.
My family and I had the combo for 6, it was okay. I enjoyed the drinks and the appetizers. The food did not taste like authentic Thai food. The dishes were too sweet or salty. Where were the spices? The pad thai was awfully sweet and tasted like ketchup. The red curry chicken was good, but the chicken was too hard and dry in my opinion. I felt bad for a few minutes before closing, but the staff was very friendly
A beautiful Thai restaurant. Suitable prices for the portions (which are sufficient), good taste and a very nicely decorated restaurant with a lot of Buddhist and Thai decor. It seems that there are also some employees of Thai descent.
Pad Thai was my order, which was okay, but not the best! My friends ordered their curries and they said it was delicious and good! We went her during the heat wave and the temperature within the place was not cold (it was so hot inside) It would be great if they had a better AC system in the restaurant. The staff was friendly and so energetic! The place could be better!
I have finally found my favourite North Shore Thai restaurant! I don't know what took me so long. I had a favourite Thai restaurant in my old neighbourhood in Vancouver, and nothing on the North Shore seemed to come close. I'm guessing I didn't try this one before because of some of the negative reviews? Well this was a lesson for me to try for myself rather than be influenced by reviews! Last week a family member wanted to celebrate her birthday at the Thai House Restaurant. The food, service and atmosphere was fantastic! Unfortunately I only managed to take one photo, of the Tom Kha soup, because I was so excited and enjoying the food so much I forgot to take more photos! We were a group of 6 and enjoyed trying several dishes that we shared. My personal favourites are the Traditional Pad Thai with tamarind sauce and tiger prawns, Tom Kha soup with prawns and Yellow Curry with chicken. If you are looking for vegetarian options the Yellow Curry with tofu and Mixed Seasonal Vegetables with Chiang Mai were also very good. We also enjoyed the Thai Satay Chicken, Spring Rolls and Cashew Chicken. I love that the Pad Thai has the thin rice noodles and that they offer it with tamarind sauce as an option and not just tomato sauce. All of the dishes with prawns had a generous serving of them. I loved the food so much I have been back for takeout twice in the last week! I can't get enough of the Tom Kha soup the flavour is delectable! Parking behind the restaurant makes dine in and takeout so easy in a busy area. Thank you Thai House! We will be back!
