Located across from McDonald’s by the VPL’s central branch, Super Chef Grill seems to be a relatively new entrant to the area with the premise of fresh ingredients and having the “best grill in town”. The owner was super kind and the food was amazing — it tasted authentic, fresh, and healthy, just like everyone said. I got the teriyaki chicken and asked for it to be not spicy. They have lots of great options with rice or extra veggies. I went with rice, and the owner even offered to add more if I wanted, which was really thoughtful. What stood out to me was how attentive he was, even with the place being busy with both dine-in and takeout orders. He stayed organized and made sure each meal was handled carefully, including my not spicy order. I even noticed he set my box aside while cooking so it wouldn’t get mixed up. You can tell he really takes pride in his work and wants everyone to enjoy their food just how they like it. The place is small but clean, well kept, and has a peaceful vibe.
