It was... read more We were in downtown Vancouver for my medical check-up, so we decided to walk around Robson St. I think the last time we were at Robson was two years ago. It was around lunchtime when we walked around there, and we noticed an Indian restaurant, Spicy 6 Fine Indian Cuisine. We decided to drop in. It was a level up from the street level, and as soon as we entered, we were greeted by a friendly server. The restaurant has a very nice eastern design and ambiance. On one side, there are seating areas by the windows looking down at Robson St. They were offering a buffet for lunch or à la carte, and all the chicken and meat were Halal. After looking at the options in the buffet line, we decided to go for the buffet. To our surprise, we met a group of Malaysians from the Malaysian Consulate and had a brief chat with them. They were a very friendly group. I had Tandoori chicken, goat curry, and rice, while my wife opted for Tandoori chicken, butter chicken, and a couple of vegetable dishes. The best part was the naan. They baked it fresh to order, and it was limitless. We ended up eating eight pieces because it was so fresh.. Overall, the service was good, the staff were friendly, and the ambiance was clean and beautiful. We recommend Halal Spicy 6 Fine Indian Cuisine to anyone looking for authentic Indian cuisine in downtown Vancouver.
