Solly's Bagelry - Vancouver

I was extremely disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. The bagels I ordered were terrible and it really wasn't worth the cost. I expected much better and I hope this was just a one-time incident.

I purchased 2 knishes for $3.50 during the Greek Day event and they were inedible. They were filled with a disgusting paste with the consistency of baby food, but with a worse taste. There were no redeeming qualities about them. I'm not sure if there was a mistake in making a larger batch for the event or if they are always like that, but they should not be considered food. However, the bagels were excellent. They were chewy and delicious. I would rate the bagels 5 out of 5 and the knishes a -1 if I could. I later realized that I paid $3.50 for the 2 knishes, which only added to my disappointment in their quality. Perhaps the standards slipped due to the high volume of orders. I have had knishes in Vancouver, Toronto, and New York and they did not taste like this. Despite this, I will give an extra star because the bagels were fantastic and very fresh.

The staff at this restaurant is very impolite, they do not treat customers with respect and serve subpar food.

I was at the store today just before the closing and ordered a bagel with cream cheese for the first time, loved it and they served with a smile even tho it was there time to close. Would love to come back sometime soon.
