What User doesn't like about Shiro Japanese Restaurant:
I am somewhat disappointed by the “high quality of food” which I saw on the reviews. Food is good, but about the price for the quality of food, at least for my order. there is a terrace that is beautiful to hang. View all feedback.

They do have a few spots but they are tight, so be warned. In summary, good quality, smaller potions but appropriately priced.
The food was fresh, good quality. We had plenty of salmon and tuna nigiri as well as sone tempura and rolls. Wonderful food, reasonable price.
Not much I can say except my first experience here was fantastic, and I look forward to going again. The food was excellent and the staff were generous with their time, not rushing us to order quickly. Fresh and delicious.
There are lots of sushi places in vancouver, most of them are pretty good, some not so good, and few are very good. Shiro is one of the very good. It's a small neighbourhood restaurant with windows all around so you can see how busy it is inside. No reso's, you write your name on a clipboard by the front door when you get there. Not much parking either so be prepared to circle the block a couple times. But once you're in the food is excellent! The tuna and salmon sashimi, light crispy tempura, tasty chicken yakisoba, aburi battera, udons, and spicy tuna roll were all very good. We had a couple hiccups with our order. One of our udons didn't show up and something went wrong with the rice, so some items took longer than they should have, but they were polite and took care of it the best they could.Authentic japanese from the food to the staff. Check out there daily specials as well, it's usually something good.
It was our first day in Vancouver and after spending most of the day getting tattooed, it left us little time to explore and find places to eat. Hastily looking up Shiro, we had a bit of a drive before it closed, but we made it in time and were we ever happy!Appetizers were superb (Gyoza!!!!) and the rolls were absolutely special, just fantastic. The ambiance is not bad, just average, like you would find at any common place in Toronto. Its a fairly small place, though it doesn't become much of a bother. Prices are fair, not too high, not too low. Shiro is top notch!
