Schokolade Cafe - Vancouver

This restaurant in Hastings Sunrise is a truly homemade local chocolate shop. They were preparing for an adorable Mother's Day high tea event, which was not even advertised, just offered to locals. I think it's a great idea and I plan to do it for my mom next year. Their chocolates are fantastic, the staff is very friendly, and their baked goods are delicious. I especially enjoyed the vegetarian quiche - so tasty!

Schokolade Cafe is the definition of cute and cozy. The staff were all warm and friendly. The chairs are comfy although there are a limited amount of seats available. Sit back, relax and enjoy the jazz music playing softly in the background. Definitely a good place to bring a date, especially if they’re a hot chocolate fan...

Such a lovely place!. I've been here a few times now, chocolates are always fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. Try the Italian nougat and the white chocolate covered caramel, so good!

The chocolates were decent and tasty, not quite at the level of Godiva but comparable to Purdy's. I purchased a box of 6 chocolates for around $10, including a Jasmine Tea chocolate that was good and a Raspberry Heart that was smooth and not overly sweet. They also had samples available on the counter, which was a nice touch. I plan to return this week to try their hot chocolates and teas.
