Every time we're craving Thai my boyfriend and I go to Sawasdee. I love them because they will veganize anything on the menu for me, unlike most Thai restaurants. The staff is always super friendly and the food always comes out fast even when they're busy. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Sawasdee Thai Restaurant:
Deeply disappointed. The moment I walked in I knew it was not authentic when the staff spoke Chinese. The pad Kaprao prao Nua tasted like Chinese beef in oyster sauce with onions and green papers, with just some basil leaves and chilli added to make it Thai. The candy provided with the bill was Chinese... One glance around the room and all I saw was Chinese style dishes. So if you want different tasting Chinese food... View all feedback.
This is some of the best Thai food I’ve had in Vancouver, if not the best. I highly recommend eating here. I love their Pad Thai and Roasted Duck Curry. Service here is also great. The man on the line was able to get my group a last minute reservation by moving some tables around.
Group here for the large orders, which the lady was not delivering to the right table. She looks confused. The dressing doesn’t offer at table, and the drink also unavailable. Most Curry dishes are great, others doesn’t up the game.Service is poor. Dining in may not be the best choice.. take out will be better next time! the photo I took present how hurry and unorganized, put the dishes pile in front of guest..
Came here for an early dinner and it was super busy. We were initially told that the restaurant was booked out for the night and we would have to do takeout. However, upon waiting 15 minutes, they kindly gave us a table. I ordered the Pad See Ew and a Thai Iced Tea and I was so impressed. The Pad See Ew was so flavourful and well made. My friends ordered the Pad Thai and they were really happy with their dish as well. This is honest the best Thai restaurant here in Vancouver and I cannot wait to go back and try their other dishes as well
Came here because it was highly recommended. It didn’t live up to the hype; the curry/sauces were flavourful but the meat was very dry. We had the pad see ew with shrimp but the rice noodles were a bit over-cooked and they were a bit skimpy on the shrimp.
Honestly this is the best Thai food I've ever had. My gf and I came in and every dish we ordered was phenomenal. I personally don't know how anyone could give this place less than 5 stars. Great picks are Oyster Beef, chicken saute, green curry and pad pew.
