Happened upon this spot by accident. Right across the street from the port. Just wanted quick happy hours then some dinner. Sat outside with a group of 6 and was immediately attended to. Ordered wine and beer and some appetizers. Six hours later, completely full, laughing and joking with the staff we left but came back 3 more times during our stay. Leah and Brad were great. Food is innovative and delicious. Love the... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Rouge Bistro:
My friend and I went to Rouge for lunch. The menu is limited but reasonably varied. You order your food from the counter and it is then brought to your table. We order soup and a sandwich and one drink. The soup and sandwich arrived after about 10 minutes which isn't bad. We had to go back to the counter and remind them about the drink. The soup and sandwich were fine. The sitting area is basic but acceptable. For a... View all feedback.
Its in our neighborhood so we decied this would be our Thursday lunch out choice. Norhing special about the interior. Some window high seats and a couple of communal tables. Ordered off the board at the cash register. Sandwiches, pasta meals and soups. Daily choice of two soups. The meals come with a small bowl of soup. Tried the Roasted Red Pepper soup with the Chicken Curry Meal. Soup OK, a bit light on flavour. The chicken (two thighs) was tender and came with carrots and potatoes cooked in a mikd curry sauce plus some rice. Good deal for $11. The second choices were the Roast Beef Sandwhich (beef a bit stringy) and the Chicken and Havarti Cheese Sandwich. It was good. Both sandwiches came on good, thick, multi-grain grilled bread. Order at the counter and the food is delivered quickly to you table. The cafe was very busy with take out orders during our visit. Credit cards accepted. Good spot for a quck, decent lunch.

The food at Rouge was very good and fresh. My family really enjoyed it. Our server was very nice, taking extra care to tell the kitchen about my peanut allergy. But, what really caught my eye in this restaurant was the decor. There were big strange chandeliers hanging from the ceilings, oddly printed couches and wallpaper. I really enjoyed this touch because it made this restaurant very unique and easy to remember. Good food, great service and even better decorations

Our waiter paid attention to us and brought our drinks and food in a timely manor. The food was good and was of an appropriate portion for the price.
