I go to Red Umbrella frequently. I love the food. It's excellent. But yesterday I had a bad experience. My breakfast took 40 minutes to be served. After 30 minutes, when I asked the server if there was something wrong, she jut said would be ready in 10 minutes. She didn't even apologized or explained why was taking so long. The place is very nice and cozy with friendly and fast stuff. Great location to have a quick breakfast and explore Westend, walk the Seawall or just enjoy English Bay. Classic breakfasts served in a peace and quiteful atmosphere.

The food here is really great. We came right on noon so had a considerable wait (both for a table and for food) but once it came it was worthwhile. Everything we ordered was more than satisfactory, and portion sizes were perfect.

I live in West End and this is the right place to go for breakfast and brunch. Delicious food and great, efficient service! Just make sure to avoid rush hours though, otherwise it will take longer obviously (something to expect in a small local café place). Highly recommend!

We got a seat and then others had to wait. Popular spot for locals. Had a great breakfast. Bought and enjoyed homemade muffins the next day. Would return again and again.
