Came on a Monday night. Restaurant busy with extensive menu and lots of take out (accepts phone orders). Broad range of standard Japanese dishes, plus sushi and sashimi - also seasonal cold noodle dishes. Most of clientele was Asian ranging from family groups, youn friends and elders. Located near Dunbar and 41st in a neighbourhood without many dining options. View all feedback.

An average place but pretty fresh and delicious chirashi/sashimi and sizable portions of everything (especially scallops and gyoza!). The okonomiyaki is also pretty good there. Friendly, attentive service also. View all feedback.
Really terrific sushi! My favourite place on the West Side for sushi. Especially love the rose roll, the specialised garden bowl, and the aburi! Great service as well. I would recommend this place to anyone. My friends and I eat at Red Tuna weekly.
I have regular Friday lunch at Red Tuna for the last 6 months and this is my favourite Japanese place in the area. Their food presentation, its freshness, arrangements and choice of plates make Red Tune to appear like a higher end restaurant. Yes, it’s a small place with simple décor and few staff, yet clean and cozy with attentive service. To judge their culinary capabilities I would suggest to try some items from Aburi menu. Said that, even simple dishes like sunomono, robata or even lunch boxes are very testy and well presented. <br/ In short; food is delicious, well presented and at modest price considering its presentation and size. Definitely my fave Japanese (sic! restaurant in Kerrisdale.
Average sushi. Ordered box A, sashimi combo B, and chicken udon. Pros price, portion sizeCons sashimi too soft, sushi rolls too much rice and fake crab meat. Overall, good price and definitely filling.
Awesome Yumminess!. Great food, great service and friendly staff.I use to go to the old location on Granville street and was so happy when I found out they moved closer to where I currently live. I recommend this place to everyone!
Delicious!. Red Tuna has become a regular stop for me on the way home from work. It 's very small inside but it 's worth squeezing in for. The service is always so friendly (it 's a Japanese 'Cheers ', after visit number 2 they learnt my name and my preferences).<br/ <br/ Really good quality sashimi and some nice and interesting rolls too. I really love the Bean Roll; tempura yam, pickled shitake, avocado and cucumber rolled in some sort of bean wrap (not like inari though, it 's green, and so tasty).<br/ <br/ I would highly recommend this place to all
