While some diners have had mixed experiences with the service, others have found it to be exceptional. The food is generally well-received, with particular highlights being the scotch egg and the fried chicken burger. Cocktails are also a crowd favorite, with a variety of options to choose from. Overall, the Pourhouse is a recommended spot for a nice night out, offering a warm ambiance and delicious food and drinks.
Wow! What a great experience! We love jazz music and this place has the best jazz live music. The server was one of the best servers we've ever had. Her name was Castina. She gave us the best service. We ordered Tomahawk Steak, which was amazing. Best choice
Pourhouse was one of my favorites years ago until they hired the lunch service. Since I've been working in Gas Town where I had lunch. I didn't know they were eating again at lunchtime. My recent visit, the mood was just as good as I remember. The food? It was a great improvement with premium ingredients and the next stage gastronomy. The 7 oz. dry aged Pourhouse Burger with a thick pig bell was savory and juicy. I asked for medium rarely for the Patty, and I got perfection. Eating was also for what you get. As regards alcohol, Pourhouse concentrates more on handmade cocktails and spirits. The beer list is not as extensive as other restaurants nearby. Hospitality was excellent. The hostess and waitress gave a serious service. Water was consistently filled up and small conversations did not feel uncomfortable. Basically it checks all boxes. You should return the order form to fill out the customer as I am in Pourhouse years ago. I thought it was a unique way to order beer and sandwiches for lunch.
Absolutely love this restaurant. Congratulations to 13 years of service. I've been here for about six years when I've ever been around. Today I went with the burger and beer lunch combo deal. It didn't disappoint! Best burgers in Vancouver, perfectly cooked and paired well with excellent beer. The quality of food and service is always great here.
Great food, friendly environment and very courteous. The GM greeted us at the door and made a table for 5 of us. The verses were very friendly and knowledgeable on drinks and food. The drinks are quite small for the price but delicious. The food was great! The Bennys are to die!
I had asked for an upscale brunch spot suggestion from a local shopkeeper. Without hesitation, he and the cashier both said POURHOUSE in unison. The staff was welcoming and friendly. And the decor and ambience was warm and comfortable. I decided to sample the Cinnamon French Toast and the Eggs Benedict. Both were perfectly prepared, hearty and satisfying. The coffee was smooth and strong, and served with real cream. Mimosa was ice cold, just the way I like it. I was dining alone, so I was pleased that the cocktail craftsman, Adam, was smart, witty, and willing to engage in entertaining conversation with a lonely tourist. I was so pleased with my experience at the Pourhouse that I returned some hours later to sample the craft cocktails and signature burger that staff shows so much pride in. Once again, I was deeply satisfied with the fare, the cocktails and craft beer. And, of course, my interactions with the capable and polished staff running the show with pride and professionalism. I would be remiss if I didn 't mention the hostess that greets patrons warmly, and gives you all the little bits of information that make you comfortable in your environment, on the way to your table. Try it, you will love it!
