What Electa O'Kon doesn't like about Po Kong Vegetarian:
This was our very first Chinese vegetarian experience when we stopped eating meat. We went for a light lunch just to check things out. We ordered wonton noodle soup, spring rolls, and loh bak goh. There was a very large group of buddhist monks eating in the restaurant which seemed to be a good sign. However, our food took ages to arrive and when it did it was not very hot, the wontons had freezer burn, and everything... View all feedback.
I try to eat different dishes every time I come, and every time they are amazing! such a great place for vegan as well as carnivores. everyone loves it!
It's really busy, but the food is good and the servers are kind.
Listen, you’re in for some fried and even deep fried items here and if you can deal with that then you’re in for a treat. Recommend ordering the Bean Curd Skin Rolls in black bean sauce, Noodles in homemade sauce, the Shitake Mushrooms, and the green beans. These dishes won’t disappoint. Works well too as takeout. About $15 CDN per dish it seems.
I ordered a trip this time. c22 and g6. c22: fresh ingwer on steamed beancurd skin leaf g6: kiefernnuss fried rice c22 was perfect, mouthwater beancurd skin with fresh ginger sauce added dropwise. the warmth of fresh ginger, the tenderness of the beancurd skin, it was soou good. I couldn't have enough of it. this court was on the pricy side in consideration of its portion. can be cooked easily over, but this is not the case here. they were really roasted. in combination with other beans and mock ham the fried rice had a very nice balance and tasted very good. the part was generous. the murderer, however, is the pickle they have given. the well-known oriented concentration (old patin or simple laoganma) is a household clamp in Chinese families, more than a million bottles are produced daily. because Laoganma sauce tastes good. this borge of po kong is on another level. it's phenomenal. I now consider having a business-venture discussion with the cook again. updated by previous review on 2022-04-28
