Pho Goodness on Davie Street is a popular spot in Vancouver known for its delicious vegan Vietnamese food. While the food generally receives high marks for its flavor, there have been mixed reviews regarding the service at the restaurant. Some customers have experienced issues with their orders being incorrect or mishandled by staff. Despite these occasional hiccups, the quality of the food remains a standout feature of the restaurant. From hearty pho dishes to fresh shrimp rolls, there is a wide range of options to choose from. Overall, Pho Goodness is a great choice for those craving a tasty and filling meal in a casual setting.
Based on distance and happycow .e and my girlfriend visited pho goodness when we were in Vancouver. I had the pho and she had vegetarian rice. The pho was good but the rice was pretty.. disappointing. It's obvious that this dish is the same as the meat dish just without the meat. Sour vegetables with rice, not much to it, definitely not worth the price we paid for it. Service was short and to the point, not what were used to for Canadian standards. When visiting this place you might want to stick to the pho, even though I did get stomach cramps after this visit.
We walked about 3/4 of a mile, past several other options to get to this place due to the reviews. Let me tell you... the flavors were AMAZING. There were only a couple things on the menu, but we just couldn't stop eating once they arrived. Staff was very friendly, and prices were LOW for the amount of food you get. Location is in a fun area of town, and worth the walk.
There are only a couple of items marked vegan on the menu. My boyfriend and I got the bun chay and salad rolls. My boyfriend ordered 2 portions of salad rolls and we weren't expecting them to be so big. The peanut sauce they came with was delicious. The bun chay portion was huge. The broth had a nice flavour and we were happy with the amount of veggies and tofu that came in it. It was busy the day we went but it didn't take long for us to get our food.
I’m fighting a cold and the Pho Chay was exactly what I needed. Healthy and delicious. Service was quick and staff were friendly. I went at 5pm and there was hardly anyone there but it got busy around 6:30pm. There’s only one vegan option for Pho but it was really good!
I went there twice. The first time was great. Friendly staff and DELICIOUS food. The second time, not so great. I got the same item as the first time, but it was not as flavorful. Also, they gave me fish sauce even though I ordered a vegan option. I know it's a careless mistake, and they fixed it, but this kind of mistakes can sometimes have consequences (I still remember how sick I was after a Second Cup gave me cow milk instead of soy milk! . Overall, it's still a place I would recommend if you want good vegan Vietnamese food.
