I popped in for dinner and not sure why the negative reviews, but the food was delicious, the service was great! I felt like I was invited to a Korean home for dinner. I had Kimchi Pancake and Galbi!! Will definitely eat here again! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Norboo Korean Restaurant:
I was horrified, shocked, and appalled that this restaurant is still up and running. I am a Korean and I can say with confidence that this is not standard Korean food. This restaurant is an embarrassment to Koreans. We ordered the boo-dae-ji-gae (sausage soup), Al-tang (fish egg soup), Al-bap (fish egg rice), and hae-mul-jun-gol (seafood pot). All of them tasted terrible. There was one huge crab shell with no meat in... View all feedback.
Would come back again!<br/ <br/ I ordered the seafood soft tofu hotpot $12.99) and it was definitely the perfect dish for a cold evening. However, I'd probably order the smaller spicy seafood tofu soup next time as the hotpot was a bit too big for me to finish! We also ordered a seafood pancake to share. It was good considering how affordable it was $8.99).<br/ <br/ I'd probably come back here again with friends and eat it family-style just so we can get more things on the menu!
Wonderful no frills homey space, very kind friendly servers, and oh the soondubu... banchan wasn't anything spectacular but fine. The Korean Fried Chicken was lovely crispy and sauce was great. The soondubu was awesome. Broth was delicate and perfectly flavored and the spice level just right. We got the seafood soondubu and everything was cooked perfectly, even the squid (not rubbery at all!!!! We had a little bonding moment with the 2 servers over the funny korean game show on the tv... It was a great experience. Now if only Portland had some good Korean restaurants...
Good value Korean food in downtown. This is my favorite to go place in downtown for some good value Korean hot bowl soup. Its around $9 for Gamjatang or Galbi tang which definitely warms you up on a cold day in Vancouver. Good selection of banchans as well!
Hits the spot!. This is my go to korean restaurant!!! The beef short ribs are amazing. Definitely a place to try out if you are craving some asian food downtown!
My favorite place. One of my favorite dinning place in downtown Vancouver! I specially liked their appetizers and #76 the beef stone bowl ! So good! The food quality is superb and constant. Pork bone soup is nice too , just the portion is a little bit small. I recommend it to all my friends !
