I LOVE this restaurant! They make 'hands down ' the BEST Ginger Beef I 've ever had! The beef is finely shredded, quick fried to perfection and glazed with a rich, incredibly tasty ginger sauce. The pork fried rice was delicious as well. I 've been there 4 times and can 't wait to return. My mouth is watering just thinking about it! The owner is friendly and the place is clean and comfortable.I signed up for this app... View all feedback.
What Mose Crist doesn't like about New Mitzie's Restaurant:
This is a large, quick turnover, unpretentious Chinese restaurant on the east side of Chinatown. They also advertise western food. There is an extensive menu and the service was quick and efficient. The sauce on the garlic clams was a bit gloopy and it was...rather expensive for the type of restaurant. View all feedback.
Large restaurant with mediocre quality and poor service. Ginger beef was made with dried beef, which wasn't too bad if you want a meal made with beef jerky. Chicken Kung Pau contained stale peanuts. It was also the first time we've ever been charged for rice. All together, not a place we will ever go back.
We stopped here for lunch but unfortunately the food was raw and slimy. We tried to eat what we could but decide it might not be safe to do so. We paid our bill and left. We would not recommend this place.
Despite its external appearance, this restaurant offers a very varied menu, couture and, most importantly, delicious. The traditional boy menu foods are very rich. the staff is very kind. good choice to eat in the Chinese neighborhood of vancouver. Ah! the former are also very reasonable compared to what is seen in this city.
We stopped here for a late lunch. The restaurant is situated a few minutes walk from Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden. Do not be put off by the outside tired exterior. Inside is a reasonable size, clean and cosy restaurant. We had the Shanghai dumplings and sizzling beef and ginger with some rice. The dumplings were ok and the sizzling beef was not chewy and hit the spot. We washed it down with some green tea. They use teabags for the green tea which was a bit disappointing. Service overall was excellent. Our meal with tip came to C$33. I would definitely go back.
Great service in an attractive setting. Large portions and the flexibility to change things (I wanted tofu instead of pork on one dish). But when I tasted the eggplant szechuan-style, the flavor was just totally ordinary...kind of like the sauce came out of a jar marked "Chinese-ish for the taste-bud challenged."Maybe other dishes are tastier.I'm going to try a different Chinese restaurant next time.
