Mogu was one of the food vendors at the 2015 Vandusen Festival of Lights. Seeing as how our options were the usual hot dogs or pizza, we opted for Mogu for their Japanese styled burger/sandwiches. The prawn katsu burger was absolutely delicious and the kaarage was generous albeit a bit salty. All in all, a great food truck and I certainly hope that they return to the Festival of Lights for 2016 and beyond! Found Mogu Japanese Street Eats accross the street from the Four Seasons hotel. Try the breaded deep fried pork cutlet with red miso sauce and asian hot mustand coleslaw. For $8 Canadian. Yum!
I wish I could say that I have sampled more of the items available at Mogu, but I almost always have their kabocha squash burger. It must sound strange, but it's delicious! And certainly the items I see my fellow patrons getting look good, too. These are also the friendliest food truck vendors in Vancouver. If only the Howe and Dunsmuir location was a little closer to my office.
I had the opportunity to try this food truck at the Vancouver Food Truck Festival the other day and was not disappointed. I tried there Chicken Karaage and it is the best i ever had. It was very reasonably priced for a mini with 3 large pieces for $5. I would highly recommend tracking down this food truck when your downtown, you will not be disappointed.
