We stopped here in our bike tour. Friendly staff and a nice menu to chose from. A nice selection of better than pub food. Ice cold crisp Italian and euro beers. They even have a bed for your dog to lay on. We're coming back soon. View all feedback.
What Adam Greer dislikes about Luppolo Brewing:
I came here for the first time after always passing by and thinking it looked good. The service for the drinks was so slow and when I got served my first beer it looked like the one on the right. For my second beer I asked for it without such a large head and the lady said (that's how the beer pours) she removed the head and left me with 3/4 of my beer.... Which is the one on the left in the photo! If I'm paying for... View all feedback.
Luppolo Brewing is just down the street from the AirBNB my daughter rented while in Vancouver for two weeks on business. I was visiting her from Toronto and, knowing the East Van Run Crew often met there, we decided to give it a go to see what it's about. Oddly enough, Luppolo is located at the same address at which I was hoping to find a photo-processing shop that could convert an old negative into a digital file for printing. Running out of time at home in Toronto, I found the place on Google and brought my negatives with me so that I could return home with the print. Instead of having the image printed, we drank beer on Luppolo's site on Venables, a few blocks west of Commercial. The room is bright and sparse, with colourful tiles on some of the walls. The beer was great. I had a double IPA which was crisp and hoppy, and a porter which was rich with coffee and a bit of chocolate. My daughter had a new world sour -- she said it was good but, not much understanding the appeal of sour, I defer to her judgement. The taralli, baked Italian pretzels, were great -- I want the recipe. The antipasto platter was full of surprises and worked well with both my beers, but especially the double IPA. The staff on the first evening we visited didn't add anything to the mix. Our empty glasses and plates were scooped away wordlessly and violently, as if perhaps we'd been taking too much time enjoying their contents. It was actually weirdly comical to watch. It wasn't hostility exactly but clearing the plates was clearly the focus, not pleasing guests. Like the decor, hospitality was sparse.
We found this gem by accident, and we're glad we did. They have a good selection of tasty beers as well as some delicious and fresh Italian snacks/sandwiches.

I just wanted to stop in and sample the lagers. All three lagers were so well done. Balanced and Nuanced!! I love the Lupollo commitment to a safer space. I think that’s really important and their sign is one of the clearest I have seen in Vancouver. The staff is always accommodating always great and the room was wonderful on a rainy sunday afternoon.

I'd come back if this issue was resolved
