I thoroughly enjoyed the ensalada with the baja fish. Crunchy and spicy and yummy. Only one person working the entire place so not fast food 5 7min wait for food. But it was delicious. Side note I also liked the Latin music selection in the place. View all feedback.
What JP P doesn't like about Loz Takos:
The restaurant needs to fix their soda machine. They used to have cherry coke, which isn't the best but at least it's better than having to pay a lot for Mexican coke. I think they probably don't offer regular coke so they can sell you the Mexican coke at a higher price. Lately, all they have is ginger ale and iced tea. Who wants ginger ale with their lunch? Having lived in Mexico City for 8 years, I was excited to try real Mexican food, as advertised. The service was fine. The order was correct. But the taste wasn 't truly that authentic. The tacos al pastor were nothing like the ones in Mexico (taken off the spit), the carnitas were mediocre. At least the barbacoa was decent. The salsas were alright. The combo with chips and salsa (a diluted pico de gallo) gave such a small amount of salsa (at least double was needed for the (good) amount of chips). There must be better options out there, especially considering the price of 4 tacos for 13 bucks before tax and tip. Also, there was no lime or lemon available (neither free nor for purchase).
Ordered takeout for dinner and it was mediocre at best. Nothing to rave about but at least it was filling. The beef burrito bowl with guacamole came to $18.70, with the corn in a cup being $4.50. The grilled steak seemed more like ground beef, and served with rice, lettuce, salsa, black beans, some jalapeño and sour cream.
The place is overpriced for sure but what really grinds my gears is that I work in the area and I’ve now gone four separate times at lunch at various times. Every time I go, there is a sign on the door saying “be back in a minute!” I’ve stood waiting for 10-15 minutes and nothing. No one comes! So the other day I was craving a taco hard, I go 45 minutes before closing and again, door locked and no one is home! Like why even open the place if you’re not going to staff it.

We hired Loz Takos to cater our wedding in July 2022. They were super professional and the food was awesome. Our guests were very happy to eat tacos instead of the usual boring wedding food. I can’t say enough good things about our experience. Highly recommended!!!
