My daughter and I saw this really nice restaurant on the bay and stopped for lunch. Daniella, our waitress, recommended the poke bowl and fish and chips. Both were excellent. The cocktails were inventive and delicious. We had such a beautiful lunch and great food,we came back for dinner. It was just as wonderful! View all feedback.
What Derick Wiegand doesn't like about Lift Bar Grill View:
Poor service and cold dishes, will not visit there again. Hostess was rude was there with three business associates. Slow disintetrsted waitresses and bartenders, maybe the staff were from wendys, unprofessional staff. View all feedback.
I was introduced to this excellent restaurant by a business associate. Our party enjoyed a variety of selections from the dinner menu, and I am sure everyone was impressed with the quality and preparation of their main course. We started with a selection of tasty fresh oysters. Some of our group enjoyed a sashimi selection as the main course and others had a amazing tender steak. The views and ambience can't be beat...and I am pleased to say the noise level is low so that you can have a normal dinner conversation. Service was also very good. I will definitely plan on visiting again. Top notch all the way.
Recommended by another business traveler at our hotel, my business colleague and I headed over to the Lift for a great meal and view. We were certainly not disappointed as the views of the water, the service and food were all fantastic. We enjoyed our cocktails taking in the view and then found our entrees of salmon and seafood linguine to be superb. Our servers were very attentive and the valet parking was a nice touch. Would highly recommend this restaurant to all and look forward to future visits when in YVR.
Went with my husband for a romantic dinner and got a table at the patio overlooking the water. We had a shared plate with few types of salmon and other seafood which was excellent. For our mains we had a coupe of their small plates; Sashimi and Cheviche and both were superb. We wanted desert too but since I can not do dairy products due to a medical condition I asked if one plate could be served without the sauce containing cream and was refused. On the menu were 6 or 7 choices and all contained dairy so I had to have a cup of coffee. Needless to say I was disappointed and am urging the chef to have a dairy free choice on the menu. Will look for it next time as I will definately visit this place again.

We keep coming back for the happy hour menu. The food is always great especially the spicy tuna that is glazed with teriyaki. Ribs are worth a try as is the fish and chips. Very good price at happy hour, expensive otherwise. Service is very haphazard and usually one or two mistakes are made on our order. Don't think I have seen the same server twice in my ten plus visits. View is very nice, and you get to see the rowers train.
