What User doesn't like about Kojima Sushi:
We helped our friends work on their house today. Lost track of time but was able to get a quick bite to eat at Kojima as they live close by commercial drive. Our set meals included California roll, spicy tuna roll - good, chopped scallop roll, salmon sashimi, assorted tempura, beef donburi, udon. Food was just ok and they did not serve tea. We only got water in plastic cups. View all feedback.
Reasonably priced delicious food. We have dined here numerous times and have never been let down. The dishes are consistently made with fresh ingredients, portion sizes are generous, prices are affordable, service is prompt, the chefs are accommodating, and the decor is clean and tastefully minimalist. Highly recommended.
We had a great experience at this restaurant! The food was delicious and the service was fantastic. We were able to feed 5 kids and 2 adults for only $56, and we even had leftovers to take home. The staff were very accommodating and we were impressed with the quality of the sushi.

Nothing against the Chinese owners and chefs but inexpensive Sushi is not the same made by Japanese or for that matter Koreans. The only good thing was the price for a $7.50 Bento Box BUT......The tempura was fried hard and the miso soup was VERY Salty. The Teriyaki Chicken was dry and over teriyakied making it and the rice soggy and over tasted of teriyaki. The only good thing was the california roll.So finally found a place on 2nd and Commercial in Vancouver that was not what I was hoping for other than the price. I dont mind paying more for good food. But this was not good food.Service was also below average other than getting our tea refilled regularly.
The place our son wanted to patronize was shut, being a Monday, so we went in here because it was close and convenient. It is small and the service is okay, neither good nor bad. Our vegan son ordered a Bento box. The iceberg lettuce in the salad was just sad looking. The rest of the items were mediocre. My husband and I each had the Sushi Special for $7.50 which is Miso Soup and your choice of three of a good selection of rolls, maki and cones. It's a great price however the food really isn't very good. Having just had well made sushi a few days prior, the inferior quality of this food was obvious. Our daughter could not even eat one piece of her Sashimi. We will not return to this restaurant.
