We stumbled on this place after a fascinating visit at the UBC Museum of Anthropology. It's literally a stone's throw from theentrance of the museum but not well marked.A relaxed and comfortable place with good pub food and great choice of beers. Decent service and very reasonable prices. People who run the place have a great sense of humor. View all feedback.

I have eaten here several times over the past 3 years. The wait staff is well meaning but untrained . Typically they are texting or talking. Typical for students trying to make a buck on the side but come on. The food is abysmal. The last meal I had was "Guiness stew" which arrived cold after waiting 35 minutes and some semi toasted mangai cake white bun. The stew was essentially gravy mix with some mystery meat and... We booked Koerners for a wedding in spring 2022. The entire staff was great. The owner and the manager were very nice, transparent and courteous and the coordinator Ana did an amazing job especially on the day of the wedding to make sure everything went smoothly and the details took care of. The venue was great for a wedding and would definitely recommend it.
This is a pub located near the UBC Rose Garden that's quite popular among staff and students of UBC. They serve a pretty good menu of drinks as well as food. I went there with several of my colleagues for a work party. Being a non-drinker, I just had their Kogi Fried Chicken Sandwich, which was very good. The staff wasn't the friendliest, but it might just be because we were such a large group, it's more difficult for them to manage. All in all, this is a solid joint that's definitely worth visiting.<br/ <br/ Kogi Fried Chicken Sandwich with fries) $13.95):<br/ 4/5<br/ This consisted of a brioche bun filled with fried chicken, kogi mayo, jalapenos and other vegetables, and comes with your choice of fries, salad or soup I had the fries). The brioche bun was soft and fluffy, and had a nice bit of sweetness. The chicken had a great crispiness, and was tender and juicy. The mayo had a nice sweetness that paired well with the chicken. The fries were quite crispy.<br/ <br/ Summary:<br/ Food: 4/5<br/ Price: 4/5<br/ Service: 3/5<br/ Overall: 3.5/5<br/ Recommendations: Kogi Fried Chicken Sandwich
Unbeknownst to the undergrads, Koerner's Pub at UBC is known as the pub where all the cool grad students/people with fancy PhDs hang out ; . I, for one, as a naive, half delusional undergrad (what am I doing with my life? have never heard of Koerner's Pub until Food Wench tipped me off about their awesome burgers!! :D
Highly impressed by this campus pub. You must try the burger. You can tell it is made with quality meat. The salad it comes with is also divine. Everything tastes so fresh. The staff was extremely friendly and had great recommendations. The cocktails we had were great as well.
Amazing burger and beer selection. Their burger definitely ranks among the best I've ever had, and pretty much everything else I've tried has been great. If you're going with a group, give either the Pho or pulled pork nachos a try, they're both amazing. <br/ <br/ The beer prices are pretty fair, and their selection of craft beer is the best on campus. Plus they've got a few domestic on draft for people who aren't big fans of craft.<br/ <br/ The patio is a big draw too, especially on a nice night. All and all, the best place to drink and eat on campus.
