It took a long time for ordering food. I understand because It was so busy. Taste was not bad. I have been to a few Indian restaurant before, but this restaurant's the amount of curry was really small to be full. View all feedback.
Ordered food on Ritual for $1 and I got the Butter Chicken with Roti and salad. I don't like Roti so instead I ordered a side of naan to go with my butter chicken. The butter chicken had a spicy kick to it. It wasn't like super buttery either. The portion size was pretty good. They were generous with the chicken. The meal also came with a side of salad. The salad was not spicy and I think it was with bbq salad dressing. I mean it tasted like it was with bbq salad dressing. I liked it. The naan was delicious and was hot when I got it. So it went well with my butter chicken and rice. Everything were made fresh on the day. The people were very friendly here. Also looked like the building is going to go down very soon. I saw a sign outside that the building is going to be redeveloped. Too bad. Recommend this place.
One of my favorite Indian restaurants in Vancouver! The lamb vindaloo with rice was absolutely delicious, flavorful, and had just the right amount of spice. I was pleasantly surprised at how reasonably priced it was compared to some of the top restaurants in NYC. The atmosphere is fantastic, the service is excellent, the food is tasty, and the city is simply beautiful!
The food was fantastic, but be aware that there may be an unpleasant body odor in the restaurant. We ordered the garlic naan, which was wonderfully drenched in butter, and the basmati rice with peas. The service from the younger waitstaff was outstanding; one waiter even warned us that a particular spicy dish might be too hot, and he offered to replace it with a milder version if it became too overwhelming. That dish was extremely spicy! It seems that the heat level can vary since some chefs are more traditional than others. Overall, everything we've tried has been delightful. The portion sizes are just right, but if you want leftovers, I recommend ordering a bit more.
We visited this restaurant for lunch on a Saturday, and it was quite empty, which allowed for very fast service. We started with papadum and onion chutney, then ordered meat samosas, lamb biryani, lamb curry, and garlic naan. The samosas were enjoyable, but the meat fell apart easily, making them a bit messy to eat. They were on the oily side for my taste, but I suppose that's to be expected from deep-fried food. The curry and biryani were both flavorful; the curry was rich with spices and the lamb was incredibly tender. I requested medium spice, which turned out to be slightly too spicy for me, but on a chilly day, the heat was quite comforting. The portion sizes were generous. The naan was crispy and generously soaked in butter, precisely how my husband likes it. I ordered a plain naan with minimal butter, and they were very accommodating, preparing it just as I requested. I truly appreciated their flexibility and commend them for being excellent hosts. The staff were friendly, and we had a pleasant lunch overall. It would have been nice to have a lunch menu specifically for Saturdays instead of the full dinner menu. Still, it was a good experience, and we would definitely return. Our total came to $45 for two, excluding tips.
My boyfriend and I stopped here for dinner while we were wandering around downtown. What a nice little gem hidden away in the entertainment district. We walked in and the place was beautiful. The servers were super nice. My boyfriend ordered the chicken korma and loved it. I ordered an Indian salad and Daal soup. Oh man it was so good! The prices are pretty decent, the whole meal cost us $30 I think. The food was great with portion sizes, service was great, overall I really enjoyed the place!
