Ate there off and on for over 30 years. It was the first place I tried sushi! Tried going there a couple of months ago, and it's been replaced by a not-very-nice hole-in-the-wall sushi place. The sushi conveyor belt was gone... End of an era! View all feedback. What User likes about Ichibankan Japanese Restaurant:

read moreLocated in a traditional Japanese setting, Ichiban-ya offers fair-priced sushi with a variety of maki options. Though the decor may be lacking and service is average, the food is fresh and tasty, making it a convenient choice for a quick sushi fix. Some portions may have too much rice, but the prices are reasonable, ranging from $3.75 to $6.50 on average. Renamed and under new management, the restaurant has received mixed reviews in the past, but recent guests found the experience enjoyable. While not the fanciest spot in town, Ichiban-ya is worth a try for a satisfying sushi meal.
