What Mozell Barton doesn't like about Hon's Wun-Tun House:
I have been going to Hon's for many years and they have different locations this one on Keefer str. was really good at one, always packed, not so any more the place was almost empty and the food was really lousy, that is my last time at this location. View all feedback.
Food is as expected for a Chinese noodle restaurant. Cheap, good but nothing special. Order the combo specials for best value. Not a date place but a dated place: The decor needs major updating!
This is very much like the places in Beijing tile floor cold. Heavy duty chairs and tables. The key thing is cheap Chinese food. I had spicy won tun in garlic sauce. It's ok but only cost $5.95 & tax. I'm trying the special beer yanjing for $3.33 it's ok. I don't remember ever having it before.
Have been going to Hons since they opened. Different owners, different cooks, meals not consistent. Good menu selection. Reasonable prices. We had a large bowl of hot and sour soup. More than enough for two people. Cold day, hot soup, tasted great.
Visited Vancouver and ate there twice, specifically the won ton soup. Portions for other dishes are also large for the price. Some dishes a little oily, but flavor is still good.
