I had lunch here on a weekday. I ordered the miso Ramen and seaweed salad. Both were delicious. The broth was so flavorful! Service was fast and cordial. I would highly recommend this place for Ramen fans. You will not be disappointed! View all feedback.
What Midori Yukou E doesn't like about Hokkaido Ramen Santouka:
I went there the other day for the first time in a few years.I went there looking forward to it because I've always loved menma, but it smelled a little strong of menma, so I wondered if it was menma from China. I thoughtI was disappointed because I expected too much View all feedback.

Stopped here for a late dinner with my daugther. We were on the way home when we passed by this location. I knew the downtown location was popular, so we decided to give it a try. It was near 8:30pm, and there was lineup. We were the 3rd group in line, so we had to wait about 10 or 15 minutes for a table. We shared a combination that included:- Miso Ramen - probably the best ramen I've ever had. Noodles were perfect texture, and the miso broth had deep rich flavors without being too salty. The meat was actually nice and tender (the few times I've had ramen at other restaurants, it tends to dry out). Large size was adequate amount for me.- Grilled Salmon Rice - I had a few bites, and it was OK. My daughter liked it.- Japanese Cream Soda Float - nothing special, other than it was greenService was friendly, but minimal and rushed. Not sure if they were understaffed, but there was a moment when 4 tables (including ours) were clearly finished and waiting for a bill and there was no staff to be seen for 10 minutes. That gets really expensive when you use street parking! Room is nice. Street parking is difficult to find, but parking might be available in the pay lot at the back of the building.I'm not a ramen fan myself, but found the ramen to be very good. So I definitely recommend for people who like ramen if you don't mind the wait and paying for parking. But if you don't really love ramen, it's probably not worth the wait or the cost to visit because there aren't much alternative items to order.
Well worth every penny spent on first visit to Hakkaido Ramen Santouka at 558 W Broadway in Vancouver's Fairview / Hospital district on busy block near Cambie Skytain station on the Canada Line.Destination restaurant, yes it's ramen...but at a level exceeding most others, anywhere.Deep flavoured broth, delicious ramen, generous portions of meat and veg in my special bowl. FOOD is the star, service functional only, don't expect much interaction / character...clean surrounds, tidy, semi open kitchen, watch the industrial type prep goin on.seriously good ramen and highest marks
Although, the ramen was a little bit more expensive than ramen elsewhere in the city, it was well worth it. There is a line but it moves fast and the food is very prompt once ordered. The broth is rich and the noodles cooked to perfection. It's really busy here and can get a little warm inside during summer but I loved it here! Would definitely recommend.
