Himalaya Restaurant - Vancouver

The restaurant is well laid out though chairs are dirty - good variety of sweets, as well. Our server was great, but guy at the counter was arrogant. Food is mediocre, but the "seekh kababs" were really an embarrassment to the kebabs themselves. These are just sausage rolls. Never going back again.

We were visiting the so called Punjabi Market and decided to have lunch. Himalaya was one of the two places we found which was not empty.As far the food is concerned, you have the choice of vegetarian buffet or for a couple of dollar more a meat buffet. It is a all you can eat.The atmosphere is a bit cold and there was not much ambiance when we visited. It is an okey choice if you are in the area, but I would not go there if I feel like eating Indian.

A very good Indian friend insisted that she host a AYCE buffet dinnerl at Himalaya (Main Street) mentioning that the Vancouver outlet is larger and more elegant than the Richmond restaurant. The buffet offered more varieties however I found that the naan at No. 5 Road and Cambie was nicer. The restaurant was very busy with take out orders because it was only 3 days before Diwali (New Year.)

Though small, but food was good, try lamb karahi, very fresh. The server was friendly also. Thats about in short good and fine nothing extra ordinary
