Contribute FeedbackGurkha Restaurant in Vancouver offers a mixed dining experience. While some found the food below average and overpriced, others appreciated the vegan options and friendly service. The menu may be misleading in terms of vegan offerings, but adjustments can be made upon request. The cozy atmosphere and quick service were highlighted positives. Overall, Gurkha Restaurant seems to cater to a variety of tastes, with both positive and negative reviews influencing potential diners.
The chickem momos (pumps) are as good as the chicken sherpa. they love this place
The first time and it was delicious! faster service, we had the goatery and the grilled lamb, both fantastic, steamed momos and chicken wings were also very tasty
When we saw that gurkha heavenly kitchen had prepared a picnic 2 go for dov, we were all there. gurkha is located in davie street, where they can not miss it, next to the shoppers drug mart. we collected 2 bags picnic and went down the hill to sunset beach, the perfect dining room. there we took our little arrest, which cost only $20 for both of us. for appetizers we chose an order of chicken momos and an order of vegetarian momos. While momos can be a pretty sturdy emptying, we found this pleasant chewing and with a delicious filling. the dives, of course, round the experience, one is cilantro based, a kind of milder curry and a rather spicy sauce. we have chosen chicken noodles as one of our main things. there was a lot of it! tasty saucy noodles and a decent amount of huh and sweet. this was not too spicy and seemed like an Asian mager sauce that was rich and had some deep! next was the chicken curry. again this was a generous part with rice. I always cry about the takeout butter huh is all sauce, but that was the opposite. there was a little heat in this delicious curry and was great with basmati rice. one of these nets also came with lenses that make me always happy. finally 2 delicious and refreshing desserts. one was cocosnus reis pudding that I could eat all day. the other was cheese pistachio lush. I've never heard of it, but apparently it's a storyteller who's based on a cheesecake? I am not quite sure how it is hard for google, a definition without ending in a cosmetic shop. the picnic came with a soft drink and we ended up with much left for the next day. they have a comfortable small dining room and a large terrace in ghk, where they can dinate a bit away from the lärm der davie street. this was our best of all 3 of our DOV experiences and highly recommended that they try.
Sensible little cozy place to eat in west end. eating was good, although they can not expect it to be perfect. the staff was polite. the food was served in no time.
The chickem momos (dumplings) are so good as well as the chicken sherpa. Always love this place
