We came here and had a pitcher of Sangria for $14.00 and we really enjoyed it on the patio. We also did their meat and cheese tray which was a hit. They offer good deals for each day so there might be a deal for you. View all feedback.
What Hank Cassin doesn't like about Grant St. Social:
I came here for lunch on a Monday with a date. We sat on the patio and I ordered the caprese salad and spaghetti alla papalina. Service was average, nothing special but pretty standard. Good portion sizes and good value. Pasta was a little too al dente for me, but I liked the prosciutto a lot. The caprese salad was good, really nice creamy mozzarella, but I think it could have used some salt (maybe I just love salt),... View all feedback.
I came here twice to have a couple of beers and watch the MLB playoffs. Completely friendly and professional service. Good beers and surprisingly good pub food. One night I had buffalo wings with hot sauce. Unlike many wing appetizers, these were perfectly done, not gooey-fried. And they were served on a bed of high-quality greens. Just right. The next time, they were having a special: burger and beer...$11. How can you beat that!? Especially when the burger was top-quality, very lean, and perfectly cooked. Clean, open ambiance. This is a great place to go to in a row of many, many restaurants. And best of all, even though the bartender wanted to close up at ten (Monday night), the baseball game went into extra innings, and he let me stay. An hour-and-a half later, with the game into the 13th, he was sitting at the bar, calm and pleasant. Come on! He stayed 90 minutes after closing just to let me watch the end of the game. What a prince!
I looked at food tours for vancouver and noticed there was a food tour in the little Italy area, but unfortunately we didnt have time for it. I looked up the restaurants and one of the stops was Cafe Roma. Based on that, Cafe Roma was not at all what i was expecting. Its mainly a bar with live music certain evenings. They have a small menu with some pasta dishes and burgers/sandwiches. We ate here on a Sunday for dinner and there was a band playing inside so we ate on the patio along the street. I could tell this was a local spot to go and have a drink and hear live music - not a restaurant to satisfy an italian food craving. I wasnt too impressed by the food, but this establishment is better for music and a drink. The prices were reasonable, all entrees $10-12. I wouldn't say this is a kid/family friendly place, especially with the live music because it gets loud.

Excellent burger and beer. Tomatoes on the burger tasted like they were right out of the garden. Sat at the bar and watched the game. Live music also happening. Caesar salad with burger rather than greasy fries was a nice change. Really like this place.
The food was REALLY good. They had fantastic burgers and a wonderful Caesar salad. However, the service was questionable. Our waiter was very friendly! They got our order wrong because he just didn't write it down and then we had to wait for a very long time for our food. But he did give us the item free. If you're in a hurry, skip it. They had the tv playing sports and there was a music entertainer who was actually fairly good. The atmosphere is quite care-free.
