This restaurant has the best Hot pot with Cod chunks and tofu that I have ever had. The cod is so fresh and tasty. They have a great selection of vegetarian options as well. The staff are friendly.. It is not to costly...dining is very casual. Lots of parking right on Fraser street. View all feedback.
What Matt I doesn't like about Grand View Szechuan Restaurant Ltd:
Really incredible takeout. The vegetarian options are flavorful and GREAT portions! Enough for lunch tomorrow after dinner tonight. Don’t miss this delicious spot!EDIT: After our second takeout experience I’m having second thoughts. We were offered a free item that was not included in our order and the beef I ate made me sick. Not sure we’ll be going back. View all feedback.
Big family business that my family and I have been for decades (back when it was new grand view on broadway and ontario.) I would give them five stars, but the app won't leave me because it isn't fully vegetarian. they have a complete veg menu with tofu and gluten substitute. try the kung pao veg huh. it's delicious.
The vegan menu is extensive and so delicious! my favorite: honey garlic chicken. updated by previous review on Thursday, 10 May 2012
Had a great experience eating in! The food was great! I like the vegetarian options some places can not offer. If you like it not only spicy, but tastefully you have come to the right place! Hot and sour soup, super tasty in my stomach. General Tso Chicken, please! Lemon chicken can't say no! Who likes roasted rice!! I do!! The parking area around the area is not bad. You have a few spots on the back, but you need to go to enter.
We took the Beijing duck and braided asparagus and rice bowls for 3 people they were big, very tasty and I would say perfect dishes. The lady in the front (probably the owner) was very friendly and welcoming.
GV feeds our family for more than a decade. Sometimes we eat, but we usually order deliveries. Few of my favorites are Deep Fried Spicy Squid (or Prawns), Lemon Breaded Chicken with the lemon sauce on the side, Braised Half Fish in Hot Garlic Sauce, and Chicken Chow Mein with light engraving on the top. When we dived, the Squid and Breaded Chicken were always fresh and crispy, but understandably due to the delivery time delay, the crispyness could be affected a little for delivery orders. Most of the time we were lucky to get our delivery orders quickly, but sometimes we had to wait for a while as they could be very busy. I always enjoy the free miraculous soup, hot soup or spring rolls that come free when our orders are over $48. So don't be shy to ask for your choice of Freebie if you call the restaurant directly to order.
