George's Pizza - Vancouver

The pizza is always fantastic, and the service is always friendly. Nice to stay in and enjoy how cute it is inside, also great to take home.

Ordered delivery from here for the first time. Were told they did not have a website so we just talked our way a bit through the menu with the person answering the phone, and placed our order. We asked that they send a take-out menu along so that we would have more information the next time around. Delivery man came, and he was very friendly. He didn't have a menu to leave us, but then advised that they did have a website, which he wrote down for us. It is basic, with just the menu items, but that's what we were looking for.The pizza and baked lasagna were... ok. Nothing special, but nothing wrong with them either. I'll admit a tad uninspiring, but acceptable.

Order any pizza, they are good! Get thin crust rather than regular. We usually pick up there, but if you order delivery they are always faster than the time they state, and the products are hot. We have tried the lasagna, and a pasta dish; both were good.

George's has been through a few owners in recent years, which has, at times, caused the quality to dip significantly, but I'm overjoyed to say that the latest owner has brought the restaurant back to its glory days.I've been coming to this restaurant for more than three decades, and I've only ever eaten the pizza, because, quite frankly, it is one of the best versions of this delicious concoction that I've ever had. The crust is crunchy, the sauce is tangy and flavourful, and the toppings are plentiful - it's pretty much the perfect pizza. ... The Greek salad is pretty darn good, too.

Had been to George's over the years and it was always a fun evening and then about 3 or 4 years ago it kind of went downhill so we stopped going. It was a delightful surprise to go back to find that it had reinvented itself . The atmosphere was once again relaxed and the service very genuine. It is one of those little gem restaurants that doesn't splurge on decor but hits the mark with the pizza. Oh, and the pesto stuffed mushroom caps!!!! Welcome Back Goerge's.
