What User likes about Gene Cafe:
right in the heart of main street..one of the coolest buildings..solid coffee and treats..great spot for people watching or just to chill for a while with your book.. View all feedback. What User doesn't like about Gene Cafe:
The coffee is served too hot, which burns the taste and doesn't make it very good. Nice place for people to watch and see, but there are MUCH better cafes nearby with better coffee, like Our Town Cafe or Kafka's. View all feedback.

read moreGene Coffee is a hip coffee shop with a unique atmosphere and strong coffee. The staff may not prioritize customer service, but the drinks are rich and flavorful. The decor is part of the charm, with 70s-80s music playing and a vintage theme. While some may find the environment lacking, others appreciate the subculture ambiance. The Americano is described as potent, and the lattes are creamy and satisfying. Overall, Gene Coffee offers a distinctive experience for those looking for a quirky coffee spot in Vancouver.

Avoid this place. The cortado was terrible with burnt espresso and flat milk, making it undrinkable. Rarely have I had such a bad coffee. Skip it.
Overpriced garbage. I ordered a sandwich and what I got was a stale croissant with (1) shrivelled slice of turkey and a few arugula leaves. Plus all the mustard...
