We like the dim sum for its selection and portion. Monday to Fridays there is special, ie no tea charges and 10% on dim sum. After 1:00pm, Monday to Saturday, there are other lunch specials worth trying.Dinner: Portion size is very big, presentation is good. We always request for low sodium, low MSG and less oil. They can accommodate. Look for the Monday to Friday dinner special, ie lobster on noodle, Peking duck, li... View all feedback.
What Tia Simonis doesn't like about Fortune City Seafood Restaurant:
We visit this neighbourhood restaurant due to convenience. Other than that, I really wouldn't care if was a patron again. The food is satisfactory (not bad, but not great either), but the dim sum is served hot with the steam rising. The staff are more accommodating than other Chinese restaurants. There's something about Chinese servers that are notorious for rude service. The restaurant could use with a make over. I'... View all feedback.
Wow! This place is outstanding. All dishes are freshly made & you can tell! The food was simply incredible. Every dish was delicious. One of the most amazing feasts we've ever enjoyed. Hope you love it as much as we did : )

We had reservations at 6 pm on a Monday evening. There were seven of us and we ordered one of the 10-course set menu special for $298. Each course came one at a time within a few minutes of each other. Dishes were quite ample in size and quite hot. After our crab dish, wet wipes were provided. For dessert, we had a choice of tapioca pudding or red bean soup.We were happy with our meal and we had plenty of leftover which we took home in a “doggie” bag. Service was friendly and efficient. Chinese tea and hot water came with dinner. Total cost of dinner before tip was $313.The restaurant is on the second floor of a mini-mall at East 1st Avenue and Renfrew with free parking. Restaurant was busy for a Monday holiday evening but it wasn't as noisy as some Chinese restaurants.
Today I went with friend to the “Fortune City Seafood Restaurant” for Dim Sum since another restaurant we tried to book lunch was not available. Also this restaurant was full. We had to wait for about 25 minutes despite is was already past 1 pm. We ordered Steamed Superior Shrimp Dumplings, Pork Dumplings with Tobiko (Shui Ma), Rice Flour Roll Wrap with Chinese Donut, Stuffed Eggplants with Prawn Puree, Steamed Beef Meat Balls with Bean Curd Sheets, Steamed Chicken Feet, Stewed Beef Tendon & Tribes in Chu Hou Paste, Sticky Fried Rice with Dried Meat and, as dessert, Durian Sticky Flour Balls. I found it a bit weird that the dessert was served at the very first dish. Many of the dishes very served quite hot, some others appeared not being made so recent. It also appeared that they forgot to serve two ordered items; after about 15 minutes of waiting one of my friends reminded a server about those. Generally, the quality and taste of the dishes was good. My favourites were the pork dumplings and beef tendon & tribes. The meat balls tasted a bit like meat balls that I used to eat in Germany. The price was in the average level. It’s certainly not a mistake to go there for Dim Sum.
The dim sum here is unlike any other. The portions are enormous, handmade, taste amazing and come out steaming, and are priced well. You can order 4 plates for 4 people and leave full... but you won't want to because there are so many more tasty options!! A great place to check out... always good to cute a hangover too!
