My husband and I ate here on Sunday, August 6, 2017. Everything was wonderful from start to finish. We ordered the Yorkshire pudding and cheese plate to start, then the fettuccini and gnocchi. Lastly, the Guinness and chocolate cake. Everything was amazing and the portions are giant! Lastly, the Guinness and chocolate cake. Everything was amazing and the portions are giant! I love gnocchi and have it wherever I can find it, usually you only get about 10-12 pieces, I swear there were 30 at this place. And it was so tasty with the sauce and truffle oil. The fettuccini was also amazing and the prawns were perfect. The staff were also super lovely, especially our server Helen who was fantastic. All in a beautiful heritage house, you must try this place. We are going back for the Irish breakfast next.
Trip Advisor Reviews under rate this great Irish Pub with a northwest flair. We were in Vancouver sight seeing and wanted something different for lunch. After consulting Trip Advisor we went here. Service was outstanding. The staff was very friendly, took their time and chatted freely. We sat outside surrounded by fresh herbs that were used in the dishes. We split a Ruben and the Crab Cakes. The cakes were meaty with just the right crispness. The Ruben was one of the best we have ever had. The flavor of the rue, corn-beef, kraut and cheese was perfect. Get away from the tourist restaurants around Stanley Park and west end and enjoy something truly unique.
We love to eat out and have many different restaurants that we frequent all over the lower mainland. Our new go to restaurant in Vancouver is now the Forkhill Restaurant, an Irish Pub/Bistro which is located in a character home on Alberni Street. A hidden jewel. The menu offers something for everyone's taste. We felt really welcomed by the staff and Jeff, the owner. We sat on the patio and enjoyed the view while we ate our delicious yorkies as an appie and the gnocchi and the grilled steelhead for the main course. Then came dessert - best for sharing if you chose the cake and ice cream. Great coffee too. Thank you Jeff and Staff for a wonderful evening and we will be back to taste the Irish Stew.
A great find in downtown Vancouver and must do repeat! Their play on a scotch egg, or the Turkey Cutlet or Chicken Curry are not at all what you'd expect from this delightful stop. Manager Alex made our night and server Noelle was on the ball throughout our visit. There are a ton of good options in this city but this is worth checking out!
Went there for lunch. Good selection of beer and a nice cider option. Grateful that there was no "Budweiser" option!I liked the fact that the menu is somewhat limited. They appear to focus on a few things and execute on them very well. The staff is very friendly. The chowder was excellent. It was freshly made as the potatoes still had some bite to them. The sliders were very tasty as the meat was nice and juicy. The kick of horseradish was welcome. My wife had the veggie burger and liked it as well.My only suggestion would be to add another vegetarian option to the menu.
