I brought my girlfriend there for her first visit to the city and we were both amazed by the breathtaking view of Coal Harbour, North Vancouver, West Vancouver, Stanley Park, the mountains, and the ocean. The food was delicious, with fresh B.C. Halibut satisfying our appetites and the mouthwatering appetizers like shrimp and carrot soup served in espresso cups. For dessert, we enjoyed an apple strudel with pistachio ice cream. The wine selection, particularly the aromatic zinfandel, complemented the meal perfectly. The service was professional and attentive, making for a romantic and intimate evening. The staff even went above and beyond to accommodate a special request of mine to surprise my girlfriend. Overall, our experience at Five Sails Restaurant was unforgettable and I will definitely be returning. I highly recommend it for a romantic night out with your significant other.

Unfortunately, we had to wait for 40 minutes before our waiter realized that we had not been served bread, the amuse-bouche, or our appetizers. Although he did offer us a complimentary glass of wine, it was not enough to make up for the long wait.

Located in th... read more The restaurant I’ve been looking forward to visiting the most during the Dine Out festivities is Five Sails, and it definitely did not disappoint! Located in the Pan Pacific Hotel, the restaurant is elegant and classy, overlooking the Canada Place sails and the water. Service is also outstanding, our server was professional but also warm and friendly; unlike many fine dining places that make me feel like a kid with their pretentious snobby service...
