We went to Elwood's after a concert on Sunday night. They are open until 2am on Sunday nights which worked out great for us!! The drinks are CHEAP. We couldn't believe it. We also all decided to order food (at 11pm). Full kitchen was open. The dishes were also inexpensive and HUGE portions were brought to the table. I loved my smoked duck flatbread!! The fries are also really great. Superb service. This place is doin... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Elwood's:
If your looking for cheap food and drinks and don't care what the place looks like this will fit the bill. I had the street tacos and they were good. Washed down with a cold beer then I didn't care about how the place looked anymore. Probably the more you drink the less you would notice. Xmas lights were a nice seasonal touch View all feedback.
This restaurant in Vancouver is a fun place to visit, worth the trek from downtown. The food is excellent and the drinks are affordable. You won't be disappointed.
I used to frequent this bar 2-4 nights a week between 2009 and 2011. It was the gathering place for my friends, offering good food, affordable and potent drinks, and music that really set the atmosphere. Just the thought of it brings a tear to my eye.
I wanted to have a beer, but the staff at this restaurant may suffer from hearing loss because of the excessively loud music. They should consider lowering the volume or turning it off altogether. I will not be returning to this establishment.

Went to Elwood's for the buck a shucks deal on a Friday. $1.50 per) Has a dive bar kind of vibe. Place wasn't crazy busy but had a crowd. You can tell it's a local hangout. Just wanted a dozen oysters and a glass of water. I was told by the server that is I wanted the oyster deal I needed to order a drink. No where on the menu does it state this. Ok fine, I'll have club soda. $3! Oysters come out and I get no fork to dig them out with, or no napkins. Trying to flag down the server to get a fork. No avail. Had to dig the oysters I couldn't slurp with my finger. Had to go to the bar to get my bill and pay or I would have been there for another half hour just to pay. I don't blame the server as the place was understaffed. But no fork or napkins? Won't go back.
