What User doesn't like about East One Chinese Seafood Restaurant:
My family and I occupied several tables for our Christmas party. We appreciated that the restaurant allowed us to reserve. The food was served too quickly. There was not enough room on our table. I rather have too much food, but patrons need the appropriate flatware and dishware to eat. As a result, I went in hunt of utensils and served my family. The restaurant should know to have an extra body working on such a bus... View all feedback.
This was a very busy restaurant at full capacity on this Sunday evening. When we left a couple of hours later, there was still some people waiting for tables. We ordered from the fixed price menu that allowed the customer to pick a number dishes for a specific price point. There are over 80 dishes to choose from. For a set price of $75.88, we ordered 5 dishes that included complimentary items - ½ order chef’s special steamed chicken, rice, soup of the day and dessert.Since there were 13 of us, we had 2 different 5 dish orders (at $75.88 per order.) There are other set menu options that offers 2, 3, 4, 6, and 8 dish choices with prices ranging from $32.88 to $116.88.We had the following:1. ½ Steamed chicken (complimentary;) bony chicken2. Soup of the day - vegetable soup (complimentary)3. Rice (complimentary)4. Red bean soup for dessert (complimentary)5. Sweet and sour pork – average tasting; more sweet and little or no sour taste6. Sliced satay beef and vermicelli hotpot – large portion7. Chinese broccoli (gai lan) – average portion size8. Spicy minced pork and bean curd – large portion; not spicy9. Shrimp and scrambled eggs – average portion size; bit bland tasting10. Diced chicken with cashews – average tasting11. Broccoli and prawns – good amount of prawns12. Deep fried calamari – tasted okay13. Prawns with snow peas – tasted okay14. Deep fried fish pieces with onions – average tastingNothing really stoodout with any of the dishes; taste-wise everything was average. Although there were 13 of us, there was enough food to go around; everyone had at least 1 serving of each dish.Ratings breakdown:• Pricing / serving size – the pricing was good or not as good depending on what you ordered. Finally, I very good Hong Kong Cafe Chinese Restaurant in East Vancouver. One of the best Woah Choy Set Chinese meal Hong Kong Style restaurants in East Vancouver. Comes with a free Duck dish and reasonably priced too.The waitresses speak perfect Chinese and English as they previously worked at the Moulin Rouge/Tom
