Menu

The menu of DD Mau from Vancouver comprises about 86 different dishes and drinks. On average you pay about CA$5 for a dish / drink.

DDMau offers a charming ambiance with its rustic yet modern decor, making it a delightful spot for Vietnamese cuisine lovers. While some dishes like the BBQ Duck Banh Mi and duck salad rolls receive rave reviews for their incredible flavors and fresh ingredients, others, like certain spring rolls and noodle bowls, have sparked disappointment due to inconsistency. The pho is particularly praised for its quality and value, complemented by a cold Saigon beer. With friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere, DDMau stands out, despite occasional hits and misses in its extensive menu.

What Enrico Bernardi dislikes about DD Mau:
I ordered 2 dishes: a Trifecta tasting plate and some spring rolls. In the past I have ordered the cooked spring rolls and they have been over-cooked, so I asked the server if they could cook them less and she said no problem. I wasn't too impressed with the BBQ duck banh mi; perhaps I should have opted for the lemongrass chicken instead.

I ordered the $5.00 Tofu salad rolls and the $3.00 Kale salad. When I went up to the counter to order, the staff asked if I wanted the salad roll.

Hearing so many great things about the bread they use in the bahn mi here I had to try it for myself. They were also featured on, ‘You Gotta Eat Here’. So I literally had to eat her to find out WHY! Although it is on average a bit pricier than your average bahn mi at Vietnamese sandwich shops but after my first bite I now know why!

Love this place. Had the chicken lemongrass sandwich. It was absolutely delicious. Also tried lychee green tea which was tasty and delicious. The only downside is that it's one of those pricier vietsub places.
